The Beauport Sleeper House in GloucesterYesterday my sister and I toured the Beauport Sleeper McCaine House in Gloucester, MA.
We took the special Nooks and Crannies tour and we able to view almost all of the rooms, go up many different stairs, see behind hidden closets, it was amazing!
I understand better why tours of historic homes can't often show us everything. This tour took three houses, we had a refreshment break at the half way point.

That looks so fun. Once, when I was in the Boston house, I was the only one on a particular tour at the Hawthorne house. It was great--she showed me everything.
On that same trip, I also saw the Alcott house. It rained the whole day and I almost got lost several times, but that didn't stop me.
I love the Alcott house. With the number of visitors that I've had, I've seen it 3 times.
