My daughter called me last night - she found her cat, Harley, dead. He didn't have any known illness, although I suspect he was starting with diabetes. She had no warning though. She went to work that morning, came home after class that night - he was gone.
Poor thing!

How sad! That must have been quite a shock. Pass along hugs for me. I've never had a pet die suddenly like that. My own cat lingered and lingered.
Thanks - I'll pass on the hugs. Mine also lingered, it was very painful watching them slowly decline.
