Writing - a new love - with straight forward rules.

I've been reading a good book about writing - one where the rules don't change for special conditions and follow a logical pattern.
Ahhh . . . the world of reason - I've been teaching myself Java.

How lovely it is to feed my brain. I feel like I'm waking up!

What do you find dazzles you and makes you want to charge ahead for me?

Yikes, Java! I'm an old C++ programmer who resisted Java to her very core!

I can't even say why I hated Java. In many ways, it makes more sense than C++. I just did. The whole world was adopting Java, so I had to do something. Now I'm a very technical business analyst.

You're going to want to slap me, but fiction writing is what dazzles me. I'm ok with having a noncreative job at work because I can be creative at home.

No, I wouldn't want to slap you at all - the more you write, the more you might be writing the next in the series to Forging a Legend and Starcasters - write away and darn glad that you enjoy it. You're a true writer!

Oh neat! I love things with orderly rules like that, you know? It's one of the reasons I love playing Bach at the end of the day: it sets the world back in order. :-)
